What is NQ?
NQ is the E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures contract. It tracks the 100 biggest non-financial companies on the Nasdaq, so tech earnings and rates news move it fast.
I trade NQ futures live every weekday morning and share the whole process: the plan, the trades, and the mistakes. Not a guru. Just a trader getting better one session at a time.
Same time, same checklist, every weekday. Streaming on YouTube and TikTok at the same time.
Times shown in Eastern, with your local time underneath.
The same four steps before every session. If the checklist doesn't line up, there's no trade.
On the 15-minute chart, price above the 55 SMA means lean long. Below it means lean short.
Support and resistance bands, previous day high and low, and the overnight range.
Let price come to a level. Trade the rejection or the bounce, never the extreme.
If price is in the middle of nowhere, I sit on my hands and explain why.
These rules are the point of the stream. If I break one, you'll see it, and I'll own it in the review.
New to NQ? These are the ideas I use on every stream, explained simply. I'm learning too, so if something here could be clearer, tell me in the chat.
NQ is the E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures contract. It tracks the 100 biggest non-financial companies on the Nasdaq, so tech earnings and rates news move it fast.
MNQ is the Micro contract, one-tenth the size. A 1-point move is $20 on NQ and $2 on MNQ. I trade the micro on stream to keep risk small.
Futures trade nearly 24 hours, Sunday evening to Friday afternoon. The big volume and the cleanest moves come after the 9:30 ET stock market open.
A simple moving average of the last 55 candles. On the 15-minute chart, price above it leans long and price below it leans short. It decides my side, not my entry.
Prices where the market has turned before: prior highs and lows, the overnight range, and zones it keeps reacting to. My entries come only at these levels.
Know your stop before you enter, keep size small, and set a daily loss limit. One bad trade should never be able to end your week.
CPI, jobs reports, Fed decisions, GDP and big tech earnings can move NQ hundreds of points in minutes. I check the calendar every morning and wait out the first spike.
A good trade follows the plan, win or lose. I score every session on whether I followed the rules, because that's the part I can control.
A full walkthrough of my setup is on the way: the charts, the indicators, and how I read the morning before the open. Subscribe so you catch it when it drops.
Subscribe on YouTubeBy day I'm a business coach and consultant with a CFA background, helping small business owners grow. In the markets, I'm still learning this game every day. I started streaming to hold myself accountable and to show what trading really looks like: the good sessions, the bad ones, and what I'm changing.
Got a question, or see something I'm missing? Drop it in the chat. I'm always open to feedback.
